SCAQMD Annual Emissions Reporting is getting to be more challenging for thousands of facilities in Southern California next year. The Deadline is March 3rd 2009, unless you are subject to ARB GHG Mandatory reporting and choose to use the SCAQMD online reporting to file a consolidated 2008 GHG & AER, then your deadline is April 1st or June 1st depending on your facility type. All emissions must be reported on-line. No paper forms or desktop software will be allowed.

12/22/2008 - Ecotek launches "California GHG 2008" - Management Program and Services for mandatory reporting of Greenhouse emissions in year 2008.


Ecotek is now offering "California GHG 2008" to hundreds of large facilities in California that are required to report GHG emissions due April 1st or June 1st 2009.

California’s reporting rules require over 800 industrial and commercial facilities to report their 2008 emissions beginning in 2009. Regulated entities include:
• cement plants;
• petroleum refineries (>25,000 Metric Tons CO2 in a calendar year);
• hydrogen plants (>25,000 MT CO2 in a calendar year);
• electricity generating facilities and cogeneration facilities (> 1 MW and >2,500 MT CO2 in a calendar year);
• Electricity retail providers and marketers;
• other industrial facilities referred to as “general stationary combustion facilities” (>25,000 MT CO2 in a calendar year).

Examples of other industrial facilities that may have reporting obligations as
“general stationary combustion facilities” include, but are not limited to,
• natural gas transmission and oil production,
• industrial gas producers,
• food and beverage processing,
• paperboard manufacture,
• steel foundries,
• colleges and universities,
• mineral processes, and
• glass container manufacture.
